Indian Trail readies for arrival of Easter Bunny, 20,000 eggs

Easter egg hunt

How many Easter eggs is too many Easter eggs? At the Town of Indian Trail, there is no such thing as too many Easter eggs.

That’s why this year’s Hop-To-IT Easter festival will include some 20,000 eggs strewn across the multi-purpose field at Chestnut Square Park on Saturday, April 13. It wouldn’t be right to say they will be hidden… more like piled, heaped or amassed – that way the kids can get plenty to take home, each with a little sweetness inside.

“Look, we like Easter egg hunts as much as the next town… but what we like even more is giving out a ton of free candy by throwing out a ridiculous amount of eggs right there in front of the kids for them to fill their Easter egg baskets,” Indian Trail Special Events Coordinator Hayden Kramer said. “No kid is going home from Indian Trail’s Hop-To-IT without enough candy to make them smile for a while.”

Along with the Easter egg hunt, the event – sponsored by Koerich Orthodontics – will include photos with the Easter bunny and other crafts and activities. Hunters should arrive early with their parents or guardians so they can register for the different hunting times. The event will begin at 10 a.m., with hunts staggered so each age group gets a chance to collect their eggs.

Chestnut Square Park is located at 320 Chestnut Pkwy.
