The Town has hosted this exhibit since 2015 in recognition of Educate through Art Month (March), Your Art, Your Story Exhibit. It is in recognition of National Youth Art Month. A notice was sent to all Indian Trail Elementary schools welcoming the art educator to select 12-15 pieces of their student's artwork for the Town to display. The Town sent 175+ invitations to students from various elementary schools throughout Indian Trail to submit their artwork for the Town Manager, Patrick Sadek, to review and select to receive a Manager’s Award. This year eleven schools participated, and a total of 176 pieces of artwork were submitted to the Town. Out of that number, 14 were selected to receive the Managers Award. This award is new for 2019 and will continue in future years.
The fourteen Manager’s Award recipients will have their artwork displayed within the Indian Trail Town Hall for all citizens and visitors to have an opportunity to view this great artwork for one year until next year’s Manager’s Award winners are selected for the 2020 School Art Program.
