Town of Indian Trail staff wore pink every Thursday in October, donating $1 each time for Firefighters for the Cure nonprofit. As a team, employees raised $110!
Also in October, the Indian Trail Parks and Recreation Department partnered with Firefighters for the Cure to host a 5K race, with proceeds from the event helping provide mammograms for uninsured women. Mammograms were also provided by a mobile unit during the event.
"Indian Trail is happy to have the chance to give back and support Firefighters for the Cure," said Abbey Ball, communications coordinator. "The organization provides assistance and resources at a local level, helping our neighbors who are battling cancer."
