The following is a news release from the Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization:
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and Federal Transit Administration (FTA) have opened a public comment period as part of their quadrennial certification review of the Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization (CRTPO). The public comment period starts today, Monday, December 2, 2019, and concludes on Friday, January 17, 2020. The public is encouraged to complete a brief survey during this time at https://publicinput.com/RegionalTransportationSurvey.
Every four years the FHWA and the FTA conduct a certification review to determine if the CRTPO is carrying out the metropolitan planning process in accordance with federal statutes and regulations.
This public comment period allows residents and other interested parties to provide comments to FHWA and FTA officials. Written comments may be sent to Loretta Barren of the FHWA at Loretta.Barren@dot.gov.
CRTPO is the federally-designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Charlotte urbanized area. More information is available on the CRTPO website at www.crtpo.org.
