[ARCHIVED] Town of Indian Trail Launches Parks and Recreation Master Plan Process

Virtual Public Input Session - Oct. 28 and 5pm

The Town of Indian Trail is in the process of creating a new comprehensive Parks and Recreation Master Plan to provide guidance on how to meet the demands for future recreational, programming, environmental, and maintenance needs, as well as to establish priorities for facility improvements and future park development.

Indian Trail residents are encouraged to join the process, which will be led by the Parks and Recreation Department.

“Over the last five-plus years, Indian Trail has been fortunate to see the creation of three parks, and numerous amenities, events, and programming for our community,” said Mayor Michael Alvarez. “As Indian Trail continues to grow, so should our Parks and Recreation offerings. The Master Plan process will allow us to work with residents and stakeholders to develop a vision that ensures our parks, special events, programming, and recreational activities meet the needs of our community for years to come.”

Indian Trail will conduct a virtual public input session on Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 5 p.m. to gather feedback from residents. The meeting will be open to the public and seek to engage the Indian Trail community while obtaining input through live polling, Q&A, and public comments. To register for the public input session, visit http://www.envisionitparks.com/.

Beginning in November, residents will also have the opportunity to complete an online survey to provide additional input. Meetings with Town leaders, staff, and user groups are also underway.

“Indian Trail’s parks and recreation offerings are an essential part of our community,” said Hayden Kramer, Parks and Recreation manager. “We want to involve as many residents as possible in the Master Plan process and look forward to the community’s participation. The feedback will help guide our efforts as we plan for the future.”

Indian Trail has hired PROS Consulting, INC., a leader in parks and recreation consulting nationwide, to lead the Master Plan project.
