The following is a news release from the North Carolina Department of Transportation:
Crews working on the Monroe Expressway project will temporarily close Secrest Shortcut Road in two areas on Tuesday, June 20, and on Thursday, June 22, weather permitting. The closures are necessary for crews to install pipe associated with the project. Detour signs will be posted for motorists around each closure as follows:
Tuesday, June 20
Crews will close Secrest Shortcut Road east of Unionville-Indian Trail Road from 6 a.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday, June 21. Motorists will be detoured along Secrest Shortcut Road and Rocky River Road back to Unionville-Indian Trail Road.
Thursday, June 22
Crews will close Secrest Shortcut Road west of Unionville-Indian Trail Road from 6 a.m. Thursday until 6 a.m. Friday, June 23. Motorists will be detoured along Secrest Shortcut Road and Scott Long Road back to Unionville-Indian Trail Road.
