The Indian Trail Town Hall will be closed for regular business tomorrow, Jan. 28, beginning at 11 a.m. in honor of Mayor Michael Alvarez and his service to the Town. We will resume normal business hours on Monday, Jan. 31, at 9 a.m.
Mayor Michael Alvarez will lie in state in the Indian Trail Town Hall’s Shirley Howe Room (315 Matthews-Indian Trail Road) from noon to 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 28, and from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 29. Both viewings will be open to the public. Those wishing to attend can park at the Town Hall or across the street at Chestnut Square Park. The Town Hall will be closed for regular business beginning at 11 a.m. on Jan. 28 in honor of Mayor Alvarez and his service.
Mayor Alvarez will then be taken to the James B. Crump VFW Post 2423 (100 VFW Lane) where he will also lie in state from 1-2 p.m. He will be carried from the VFW to First Baptist Church Indian Trail (732 Indian Trail-Fairview Road).
Visitation will take place from 3-4 p.m. at First Baptist Church, followed by a Memorial Service at 4 p.m. The Visitation and the Memorial Service will also be open to the public.
