Dogs of all sizes and their owners are invited to attend the Town of Indian Trail’s annual Paws in the Park event on Saturday, May 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Crooked Creek Park (5900 Oakwood Lane).
The event will include numerous free activities such as caricature drawings for owners and pets, an agility course, K9 demonstrations, pet raffles and contests, face painting, inflatable games, a balloon artist, and pet adoptions.
Dogs are also able to play off-leash in the dog park area. All dogs should be on a leash when they are outside of the dog park fence. Those who are interested in signing up for a dog park application can do so at the Indian Trail Parks and Recreation booth during the event.
In addition to the activities and the dog park, guests will be able to shop from several pet-themed vendors and enjoy refreshments from Boss Lady Lemonade and Chips & Dips, a BBQ-style food truck.
Indian Trail Animal Hospital is sponsoring the event again this year.
“We love our dogs, and what better way to celebrate our furry friends than with an event just for them?” said Hayden Kramer, parks and recreation director. “In the Parks and Recreation Department, our goal is to bring the community together by providing events, programs, and amenities for all members of the family, including those with four paws! We look forward to seeing everyone and their dogs out at the park on May 6. We’d also like to thank Indian Trail Animal Hospital for sponsoring the event and being a valued community partner for many years.”
