[ARCHIVED] Segment of Rocky River Road to Close in Union County

The following is a news release from the NCDOT:


Contract crews working on the Monroe Expressway project will temporarily close Rocky River Road between Secrest Shortcut Road and Unionville-Indian Trail Road for two weeks, starting Wednesday, Sept. 5.


The closure will allow workers to pour curb and gutter, pave the area and install guardrail. The road is scheduled to open no later than 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19.


A detour will be posted for motorists along Secrest Shortcut Road and Unionville-Indian Trail Road.
