Overview

Although Indian Trail is often identified as a “bedroom community” due to its proximity and connection to the Charlotte-Metro area, our Town is thriving in all sectors of the economy.  By taking advantage of our growth, relative proximity to Charlotte and excellent transportation network, nearly a dozen business and industrial parks call Indian Trail home, with room still to grow!

Several groups have recently identified Indian Trail for its exceptional growth in both residential households and median income.  The Gadberry Group lists our Town in its “8 most notable high-growth areas in 2008”.  This group cites Indian Trail’s exceptional growth in number of households, median household income, and second-place ranking in their Economic Stability Index.  Furthermore, our Town finds itself surrounded by growth; Union County ranks among the 25 fastest growing counties in the United States.

Our Town welcomes new development and businesses of all types - we have a vision for growth, and plans and regulations in place to encourage and promote quality establishments.
