Indian Trail finalist in “Great Places” contest

The Town of Indian Trail has been chosen as a finalist in the 2016 Great Places in N.C. Awards Program in the Great Place for Healthy Living category thanks to the Town’s new parks.


Lane closures scheduled on Old Monroe Rd.

Beginning Friday, April 29, and continuing for roughly two weeks, the N.C. Department of Transportation will install lane closures on Old Monroe Road/Old Charlotte Highway at Southfork Road in Indian Trail for waterline installation.


Traffic shift coming to Morgan Mill Rd.

The N.C. Department of Transportation will be shifting Morgan Mill Road/N.C. 200 traffic to a detour route on Friday, April 29, weather permitting. This detour, which is is adjacent to the existing Morgan Mill Road, will allow crews to build a bridge for the new Monroe Expressway.


Demolition of Genwove site coming soon

Crews are scheduled to begin demolition of the Genwove site in Indian Trail, at the intersection of Unionville-Indian Trail Road and Plyler Road, on Monday, April 25.


Tree program continues planting for the future
