Council Approval for Additional Deputy
Town Council Approves Agreement to Add an Additional UCSO Deputy Sheriff

Town of Indian Trail, NC, July 11, 2012 – At the July 10th Council Meeting the Council approved an Agreement to add one additional contracted Union County Sheriff Office Deputy. This would increase the number of Indian Trail contracted UCSO Deputy Sheriff’s from 18 to 19.
The current year budget also anticipates adding two (2) additional Deputy Sheriff’s during this fiscal year. The Town is hoping to receive two new Deputy Sheriff’s through a NC Governor’s Highway Safety Program Grant. The Grant would pay for a portion of the Deputy Sheriff’s costs over the next three years.
