Indian Trail Cultural Arts Center Coming Soon
A ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand opening of the Indian Trail Cultural Arts Center is planned for October 20 in conjunction with the Piedmont Cultural Arts Festival held the same day from 11a.m – 5p.m. at Crossing Paths Park.
The Town plans on partnering with art centered organizations in and around the Indian Trail community to offer a variety of classes, workshops and programs focused on everything from visual arts to dance and music. In addition the center will serve as a place for local artists to display and showcase their pieces and develop their talents.
Community and Economic Development Director Kelly Barnhardt said, “We are thrilled to be able to provide this quality of life amenity for Indian Trail Residents. We came up with the tagline ‘Inspire, Create, Educate’ for this center and we hope children and adults of all ages will come out and see what it is all about.”
The Cultural Arts Center will be located in the former town hall building on Navajo Trail (near the Indian Trail civic building and across the street from Crossing Paths Park.) Indian Trail Town Council approved the development of the Cultural Arts Center as part of the 2012-2013 fiscal year budget.
