Indian Trail Offers New Yard Waste Services
As part of Indian Trail’s new solid waste improvements implemented in September, the Town will offer additional free curbside collection services for yard waste, leaf, bulk waste and electronic waste three times a year on scheduled dates.
In addition, during peak periods up to 50 bags of leaves per household can be placed curbside on the regularly scheduled collection day. Here are a couple of reminders for yard waste collection:
- All yard waste should be placed in brown paper or clear plastic bags.
- Tree Limbs and sticks should be bundled together.
- Yard waste should be placed at the curb residents’ designated collection day.
- The Town does not allow any open burning of leaves or yard waste, however recreational burning is allowed for all residents.
- Starting in November 2012, residents will be able to request a separate cart for yard waste by calling 704-821-5401.
