Indian Trail Receives Generous Donation For New Cultural Arts Center-
Lowe’s Home Improvement of Indian Trail has generously donated over $1,000.00 worth of ceiling tiles for use in the Town’s new Cultural Arts Center.
As part of this new partnership, Indian Trail art students will be the first participants of the “Educate Through Art” initiative with Lowe’s Home Improvement. A special program themed: “Look Up… IT’s Our Future!” will give art students an opportunity to portray a form of art they have learned in school on one of the donated tiles. The completed ceiling tiles will be used to create an educational ‘art sky’ for Cultural Arts Center visitors to enjoy.
Kelly Barnhardt, Director of Community and Economic Development said, “This partnership and donation from Lowe’s Home Improvement is a great example of what we hoped to accomplish with area businesses for the benefit of our residents. We are extremely excited to see what the future brings with the new Cultural Arts Center”.
The Indian Trail Cultural Arts Center is located on the corner of Indian Trail and Navajo Trail in the former Town Hall building. A ribbon cutting ceremony for the new facility is planned for Saturday, October 20 at 3p.m. during the Piedmont Cultural Arts Festival (which is being held in Crossing Paths Park from 11a.m. -5p.m. the same day.) For more information about upcoming programs, art classes and workshops please call the Cultural Arts Center at 704-821-2541.
