Over the past year, the Town’s Planning Department has been working on updating Indian Trail’s Downtown Master Plan, which was originally adopted in 2006. If approved, the plan will help guide the Town as we begin to create the downtown area our community would like to see.
Recently, several residents and business owners received letters from the Town regarding proposed rezoning designations if the plan is approved. Below is an FAQ explaining what this means and the limited impact it will have on those in the downtown area. The FAQ, along with a link to review the draft Master Plan Update, is available on our website at http://indiantrail.org/1774/Downtown-Master-Plan-Update.
Residents can provide public comments on the Master Plan Update during the upcoming Planning Board meetings on July 18 and August 15 or at the upcoming Town Council meetings on August 8 and September 12. Planning Department Staff members are also available for questions or comments any time between meetings. They can be contacted at 704-821-5401 or tdj@indiantrail.org or bcd@indiantrail.org.
