The Town of Indian Trail (pop. over 40,000) seeks well-qualified candidates for the Town Manager position. This growing Town is located in northwestern Union County in the Charlotte Metro Area.
The Town Manager is appointed by and works under the direction of the Mayor and a five-member Town Council; Indian Trail operates under a council-manager form of government. The Town Manager supervises seven departments, including contracted services; 40 FTE, 10 part-time. General Fund budget $11.8 million, total $17.9 million. Sound finances.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Public or Business Administration or other relevant fields; Master’s degree preferred. Candidates should have at least 5 years of progressively responsible leadership and management experience; experience as a local government manager, assistant manager or department head is preferred. Experience in NC municipal government is a plus.
