It’s time to come together once again and honor the commitment and sacrifice of all those who strive to make Indian Trail a safer place to live, work and play.
National Night Out 2017 - which brings law enforcement, emergency services officials, local citizens and others together for a night of fun and fellowship – will take place Tuesday night, Aug. 1, at Indian Trail's Chestnut Square Park.
The event will include free food; the opportunity for kids and parents alike to check out fire trucks, sheriff's office vehicles, an armored truck and more; and other demonstrations – like the golf cart drunk driving simulator. It also will include Union County Sheriff's Office members taking their turn at the Dunk Tank to the delight of kids - and their fellow deputies.
All Indian Trail residents and neighborhoods have been invited out to the festival, which will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. It’s a special chance to say Thank You to those who have given so much to the town.
“Last year was our first National Night Out event, and it was amazing to see so many people turn out and celebrate our Town’s heroes,” Indian Trail Special Event Coordinator Hayden Kramer said. “This is a very important opportunity for us to honor those who put their lives on the line every day for us, but also give all our emergency services personnel some time to relax and have a great night with the community they care so much about.”
Chestnut Square Park is located at 320 Chestnut Pkwy. Find more information on the event at our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/itsparksandrec.
