The IT’s Elementary student art show has officially opened to rave reviews at the Indian Trail Town Hall, as an exhibit highlighting masterpieces from across our area went on display Thursday for the public to enjoy.
The exhibit, which runs through March 9 at the Indian Trail Town Hall Cultural Arts Room, includes drawings, paintings, sculptures and more from students from nine schools – Hemby Bridge, Indian Trail, Poplin, Porter Ridge, Sardis, Shiloh and Stallings Elementary schools, and Metrolina Christian and Union Preparatory academies. The Indian Trail Parks & Recreation Department works closely with area schools and their art instructors to shine a light on the area’s future artists and allow students to see their work in a true exhibit showcase.
“It is our great honor to be able to play host to such a wonderful display of creativity and imagination,” Indian Trail Director of Communications Mike Parks said. “It’s a joy to work with so many great student artists, and so many wonderful, passionate art teachers from across Indian Trail. We hope the community will come check out the exhibit so they can enjoy all the great work as much as we have.”
The exhibit is open through March 9 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Indian Trail Town Hall is located at 315 Matthews-Indian Trail Road. Find more information at www.indiantrail.org.
