[ARCHIVED] Easter Bunny to overwhelm Indian Trail with eggs

Easter slideshow

You’re not going to have to hunt too hard to find eggs this year in Indian Trail.

The Easter Bunny has commissioned a team of helpers at the Town’s Parks and Recreation Department to prepare 15,000 eggs for his upcoming Hop to IT Easter celebration at Chestnut Square Park. The event, to take place the morning of Saturday, March 24, will not only include the most eggs ever seen in the history of Hop to IT, but also will bring a ton of fun and games for kids of all ages to enjoy.

Along with free pictures with the Easter Bunny – you bring the camera, we bring the Bunny – there will be crafts, music, outdoor lawn games, a scavenger hunt and much more.

Families need to arrive early to register their children for the Easter egg hunt, with registration beginning at 10 a.m. The first hunt, for children 3 years old and younger, will kick off at 10:30 a.m. The next hunt, for children ages 4 to 7 years old, will take place at 10:45 a.m. Then, children ages 8 to 10 years old will hunt starting at 11 a.m. The scavenger hunt, for children ages 10 years old and older, will begin at 10:30 a.m.

“The Easter Bunny has given us specific instructions that he wants this to be the biggest and best Easter Egg Hunt ever seen,” Special Events Coordinator Hayden Kramer said. “We’re hard at work making sure there are plenty of eggs filled with fun surprises for everyone to enjoy, and we think this is going to be a very special day for our community.”

Chestnut Square Park is located at 320 Chestnut Pkwy., across the street from the new Indian Trail Town Hall. Find more information at www.itsparksandrec.com or by calling 704-821-8114.
